Brother jeff (Jeff Stanley’s stage name) is an American singer/songwriter who has performed in the USA, Africa, Australia, Indonesia, Mexico, and Papua New Guinea. He was raised in East Africa which exposed him to eclectic music from an early age. As a teenager, Brother jeff incorporated such styles as African pop, rock, jazz, blues, funk, ska, and reggae into his music.
Brother jeff has gigged with a myriad of famous performers such as Michael Franti and Spearhead and Kelly Joe Phelps and Jeff Pevar. He is well known in the American music community and has participated in a wide range of events, including playing for Courtney Cox (“Friends”) wedding, auditioning for Limp Bizkit, performing at The Oakland Colesium, and making it to the finals (out of 4,000 guitarists) for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He also was the lead guitarist for Eugene Cole and Persuaded on their first live recording for an audience of 1,200.
